Undated letters to and from Bruce Whiteside relating to the formation, governance and operation of Pauline Hanson's One Nation

Correspondence and notes relating to debates surrounding the loss of Australian prisoners-of-war in the sinking of the SS Montevideo Maru in June 1942.

Draft, version 12, 117 leaves. The first five pages in two different versions, with handwritten emendations. Accompanied by a photocopy of a three-page letter from Ihab Hassan, 20 May 2007, with feedback on the manuscript.

Three unpublished (?) literary typescripts: A propos hitch-hikers [Short story], headed by later pencilled manuscript note '1956/57 Unpublished', 8 leaves; Hippolytus. A free version after Euripides, script, photocopy with handwritten emendations, 57 numbered leaves, possible what was contributed by Malouf to the Archive of Performances of Greek & Roman Drama? ; photocopied typescript for characters from Don Giovanni (an opera by Mozart)?, 9 leaves.

Materials relating to the continued memorialisation of James Macdonald after his death including correspondence; 2 copies of a stab-sewn booklet entitled In Memoriam: Captain James Shaw Rose Macdonald; Thanksgiving Sunday 1919 order of service; Brisbane Grammar School booklet Memorial in honour of the Volunteers in the Great War; newspaper cutting; guide to Dickiebusch New Military Cemetary issued by the Imperial War Graves Commission; photographs and negatives. The latter part of the file relates to Michael White's enquiries as to the location of James Macdonald's grave and images of poppies placed on the grave each ANZAC Day.

Paper, 16 pages, by Kerry Heckenberg, presented as a Research Seminar in the School of English, Media Studies and Art History at the University of Queensland, 31 July 2009. Discusses in detail the mural works of Don Cowen and Quentin Hole in the former University of Queensland Geology Museum, Richards Building, and their relevance as art works based on scientific knowledge of the day. Contents include a copy of the paper presented and a printout of the PowerPoint presentation, 34 pages.
