Photograph taken while Nelson was at Mornington Island Mission. Photograph of Charles Douglas Sydney (1886-1973). Doug Sydney was the mission superintendent at Weipa, from December 1928 to May 1929. He was living at Mornington Island when this photograph was taken, as he was assisting with the reconstruction of that community after the 1936 cyclone.
