The Thomas W. Shapcott Papers contain original manuscripts and typescripts of a number of his literary works, including poems, short stories, novels, plays and libretti. Other typescripts included relate to editorial work, translations, reviews and reader reports. There are also a number of typescripts by other authors sent to Shapcott for review.

Newspaper cuttings collected for her thesis Graingrowers and freight rates M.A. (Qual) thesis for the Government Department, University of Queensland, in 1974 (THE5449). Some of the volumes and pages are labelled: Queensland Graingrowers' Association. These cuttings may have belonged to this Association at some time.
The newspaper cuttings cover various aspects of grain growing, marketing, export and tariffs, transport, etc. Grains covered in the cuttings include wheat, maize, barley, sorghum, linseed, safflower and soybeans. The cuttings also cover activities of marketing associations such as the Queensland Grain Growers' Association, Barley Marketing Board, Grain Sorghum Marketing Board and the Vegetable Oil Growers' Association. Newspapers clipped include: Courier Mail, Sunday Mail, Grain Grower, Toowoomba Chronicle, Land, Kingaroy Herald and Country Life.
