Photographs (and papers) held in place by photo corners. Black and white photograph stuck to front cover. Inscription on inside cover "Belongs to Joycelyn Thomas". Photographs and real photo postcards relating to the Jack Fryer or Fryer Family: seven black and white photographs (some have been removed from an existing album); one colour photograph; and seven real photo postcards. Dates for some photographs range from 1917-1950; most are undated.

Carmel McCarthy selected eighteen letters for transcribing from the collection. Seventeen of the letters were written from Clonburrin House near the village of Fenagh in Co Carlow by various members of the Fryer family.
