Biographical history
Former partner and director of Queensland architecture practice Fulton Trotter Architects. Trotter joined the practice, previously known as Fulton, Collin, Job in 1951 and was made a partner in 1962. He designed some of Queensland’s most iconic and enduring buildings including International House and Schonell Theatre at the University of Queensland, Tower Mill Hotel, Twin Towns Services Club and Club Banora. Climate, geometry and innovative construction techniques informed Trotter's design approach. Apart from his architectural practice, he lectured at the Queensland Institute of Technology (QIT) for 19 years.

One thousand and fifty two (1,052) 35mm colour slides and original bound manuscript relating to Trotter's publication Cities in the Sun, which were taken while he undertook his Royal Australian Institute of Architects (RAIA) Sisalkraft Travel Scholarship in 1963. An additional 147 35mm colour slides are included, which relate to architecture and design in Australia and the Torres Strait.
