Biographical history
Kerry Kilner is an Australian literary scholar best known for her role as Director and General Editor of AustLit at the University of Queensland from 2002 to 2020. She has held positions as a lecturer and Research Fellow in the School of Communication and Arts at UQ since 1998 and, in 2019, was appointed as UQ's first Reconciliation Action Coordinator within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She played a key role in the establishment of BlackWords and contributed extensively to Australian literary scholarship, particularly in digital humanities and bibliography. Before joining AustLit in 1999, she worked on the Bibliography of Australian Literature Project (BALP) at Monash University and co-edited several volumes of The bibliography of Australian literature.
Born in Singapore and raised across Australia due to her father's military career, Kilner attended university as a mature-age student, earning an Honours degree in literature and a Masters in Women's Studies from Monash University. She has an interest in Australian theatre history, leading to her involvement with the AustLit Australian Drama Archive. She has also contributed to reference works such as The Cambridge guide to women's writing in English (1999) and A history of the book in Australia, 1891-1945 (2001). Kilner stepped down from AustLit in 2020 after relocating to Ireland during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This collection comprises four audio cassettes containing interviews conduction by Kerry Kilner with playwrights Betty Roland, Oriel Gray and Mona Brand; and one video cassette (VHS) containing a production of 'Fee of Clay' by Betty Roland. :
