Biographical history

Charles Ladds was born in Western Australia in 1903. He went to sea at 15, and after several years travelling the world, settled down at Burleigh Heads. His book I'll Go No More A-Roving, earned praise from critics, including G.K. Chesterton. Charles was husband to Dulcie Dunlop Ladds.

Biographical history

Dulcie Dunlop Ladds was born in Brisbane, and lived for some years on a banana plantation at Burleigh Heads, Queensland, with her husband, Charles Ladds. She was active in amateur productions in Brisbane and the Gold Coast She had over 300 short stories published, and won the 1942 C.J. Dennis Memorial Award in 1942 for We Have Our Dreams.
