History
The Twelfth Night Theatre Company was founded by Rhoda Felgate, the name of the group comes from the plan to present a play on the twelfth night of each month. The first production was presented in March 1936 in the Empire Chambers, cnr Creek and Wharf Streets, Brisbane. Performances were given at the Princess Theatre, All Saint's Hall, Albert Hall and often at the Gowrie Hall. New premises were designed by the architect Vitaly Gzell, also the Twelfth Night President, located at 4 Cintra Road, Bowen Hills. This new theatre was opened in 1971 with the production "A Flea in Her Ear". In 1976 the company sold the building in Bowen Hills and continued to perform at the venue, but to avoid confusion, the company changed its name to TN! Theatre Company.
