History
Author and historian Rosamond Maud Walden Nunn was born on 30 July 1921 in Boonah, Queensland. She was one of the first women to enlist in the Women's Auxiliary Australian Air Force in World War Two. She married Aubrey Ernest Siemon on 1 January 1944. At the request of Sir Zelman Cowan, Rosamond joined the UQ staff to start the UQ Alumni Association. She attained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in 1989 and a Doctor of Philosophy in 1995. She authored The Mayne Inheritance, published in 1997. Rosamond established the Dr Rosamond Siemon Postgraduate Renal Research Scholarship at the University of Queensland in 2006. She died in 2020 at the age of 98.
