Typewritten recollection of C. Hamilton of Dr Joseph Bancroft, a Brisbane medical practitioner, whom he knew as a child. Probably written in response to a request by Dr Gregory Murphy, Honorary Sectretary of the Historical Section of the British Medical Association. Author's name and address handwritten at the end of the manuscript. Some handwritten annotations.

The author recalls his medical education in Edinburgh (1888-1893) and his practice in Brisbane from 1896. He describes the medical treatment of the time, the bubonic plaque of 1902, and other medical practitioners. Probably written in response to a request from Dr Gregory Murphy, Honorary Secretary of the Historical Section of the British Medical Association.

Dr Gregory Murphy was the Honorary Sectretary of the Historical Section of the British Medical Assocation. The letters to George Moore concern his request for information about Dr John I. Moore, father of George. The letter from George Moore dated 25 January 1950 encloses typed reminiscences by his mother, then aged 90.
