History
The Municipal Officers' Association was registered with the federal Conciliation and Arbitration Court in 1921. In 1991 it amalgamated with the Australian Transport Officers' Federation and the Technical Service Guild of Australia to form the Australian Municipal Transport Energy Water Ports Community & Information Services Union. (trading under the name of Australian Services Union). In 1993 the Australian Services Union amalgamated with other unions to become the Australian Municipal, Administrative, Clerical and Services Union (still trading under the name of Australian Services Union).
