Typescript, with handwritten additions. Working draft of the novel The ship on the coin ( 'The New Cleopatra'), published in 1972 by University of Queensland Press. Accompanied by a covering letter to the Fryer Librarian, dated 19 Feb 1973. Also included is the first sketch for a poem, later published in The Autobiography of a Gorgon.

This collection includes : 'The Great Barrier Reef and its origins'; 'Great Barrier Reef investigations'; 2 photographs; handwritten notes entitled 'Great Barrier Reef : manuscript notes made during reading at Geological Survey Library, London 1935'; one folder entitled 'Chemical analyses of coralline material from bore at Michaelmas Cay' (includes graphs). There is a map of Great Barrier Reef ca. 1925, which hung in Richards' office; William Branwhite Clarke medal; Carnegie Corporation medal; and hammer belonging to Richards.

This file is comprised six items. There are three typescripts: 'My first ten years - some memories of party life' which is about participation in Communist Party activities in the 1940s (7 leaves, typescript, with handwritten emendations); 'Val', which is about Val Fraser (colleague in the Communist Party) (4 leaves, typescript, with handwritten emendations); and four typescript leaves recalling her early childhood years at Wynnum and Lindum with a handwritten note on the first page 'written a good few years back'. All are undated. There are two newspapers cuttings of Kath Watson in Somerville House Sports Teams from 1925 and 1927; and an 'Where is it book?' (Ancol notebook) listing women to include in the 1978 Woman and Labor papers, undated but possibly from 1978.

Brown, Senior Lecturer in Dentistry at the Turbot Street Dental School, around the formation of Aboriginal and Islander Community Health Service. It includes: rosters and roster correspondence, articles on the Aboriginal and Islander Community Health Service, dental health, finance and equipment, constitution, minutes and reports, health statistics. Papers relate particularly to the Dental Service of the Aborigines and Islanders Community Health Service.

It includes: concerns publication of a book, Kath's decision to contribute to the volume, asks if she knows Clem Jones or his father, and background notes to accompanying poem, Into the dusk The poem is one leaf, typescript signed, carbon copy, with a handwritten note under the poem.
