Notes, faxes and incomplete draft of Until the end of the world by Peter Carey

Faxes (thermal paper and photocopied), dated August 1988. Printout of Peter Carey's first (incomplete) draft on continuous computer paper, September 1988. This material was in an envelope (now discarded) which had handwritten on front: 'Until the end of the world - note all dates on computer printouts are American style Month/Day/Year'.

Educational flyers

A series of educational flyers, each one addressing a particular aspect of the nuclear industry and nuclear weapons. The series was originally issued in 1986 as a kit titled Nuke Info. The authors were Juleen Clarke, Karen Allen, Beth Gordon, Elizabeth Borland, Chris Hawke, Ross Clark, Catherine Burrill and Vicki Turner-Jones.

Incomplete drafts of The tax inspector

16 folders of typescript, with handwritten emendations, and printouts of Carey's computer directory listing files for sections and chapters of the novel. 1st - 12th drafts of the novel. Carey's labeling on the folders indicates that writing began on 3 Feb 1988. The 11th draft is dated 20 Nov 1990. Drafts have extensive handwritten emendations. Some of the 9th and 10th draft material includes extensive handwritten notes probably by Alison Summers.
