Sketches and preliminary designs for mural in the old Geology Museum, Richards Building, University of Queensland. Two murals were painted for the Geology Museum by Don Cowen and Quentin Hole. The first was painted in 1951. The second, on the south wall of the museum, represents Australian Megafauna and was painted in 1952.

Discusses in detail the mural works of Don Cowen and Quentin Hole in the former University of Queensland Geology Museum, Richards Building, and their relevance as art works based on scientific knowledge of the day. Contents include a copy of the paper presented and a printout of the PowerPoint presentation, 34 pages.
