Letters from Stan to Marjorie McCosker in 1941 after she was evacuated from New Guinea to Australia, a letter from Stan McCosker to Walford King, and a letter from Marjorie to Francie King. The file also contains instructions dated 30 May 1940 from the Commanding Officer of the New Guinea Volunteer Rifles listing the personnel to escort enemy internees from Rabaul to Sydney. Stan McCosker is named as one of the seven members of the escort.

Letters from Walford King in 1940 during his war service in Palestine and a photograph of King in AIF uniform in Jerusalem in 1940. The folder also contains a letter dated 25 December 1924 from 'Joe' to Telong, identified as G.T. Heathcote.

Documents include a permit dated 27 May 1941 issued to Marjorie, allowing her to leave and return to the Territory of New Guinea with two children; inventories of goods and personal effects shipped; and an offer of employment to Marjorie from St Margaret's School, Brisbane.

New Guinea photographs, 1929 to 1941.

Photographic prints showing people, plantation life and scenery in the Australian Territory of New Guinea. Locations include Wara-Ta-Bar (New Ireland), Ningau, Matala Plantation and Witu. Many of the photographs feature local people wearing ceremonial dress, undertaking ceremonial performances and posing for the photographer. Most of the photographs were taken in the 1930s.
