Handwritten letters, most are addressed to 'My dear Collie' and signed 'your affectionate Mother, Margaret M. Bell'. There are letters from: Oswald M. Bell; a letter to Colin b. P. Bell of 'Westlands' from Ruthing & Jensen Solicitors; letter to J.F. Small & Sons signed by Margaret M. Bell and Colin B. P. Bell to sell all the effects at Jimbour House.

Handwritten notes of the recollections of James Fernival about Jimbour, Henry Dennis, Warabah, and various properties on the Darling Downs, 8 leaves, undated. Attached to handwritten notes is a newspaper cutting from The Queenslander, 7 Jan 1899, of a letter to the editor, ‘Jimbour History’ by Charles Dun, dated 27 Dec. Typescript copy of the handwritten notes of the 'Recollections of James Fernival' with handwritten note on first page ‘circ. 1908-9 in the possession of the late Hon. J.T. Bell’ , 6 leaves.

Fernival's recollections include: Henry Dennis, Thomas Bell, Jimbour Station, Ludwig Leichhardt, Joe King, Joshua Peter Bell, the various stations in the Darling Downs area and who owned them, Charles Coxen, Warraba ("W.H. Warraba", died in 1893), Bungaree, Billy Crow, George Goggs, and others.

Typescript of article "Pearl Gatherers of the Torrens [sic] Strait Islands" which is a short account by Jean Williams of the development of the Pearling Industry from 1863 in North Queensland. Includes list of vessels which were used in the period 1860-1870s, giving their description, type and Master's name. Accompanied by three sepia toned photographs of soliders, Torres Strait Islanders on Moa Island, and two Papua New Guinean women from the Omati River.
