Three maps of New Britain. The earliest map, dated 1927, shows New Britain in relation to surrounding islands and the New Guinea mainland. It includes an index of properties and places, and shows plantations and trading stations. The other two maps were issued by the U.S. Army in 1943 and show sections of New Britain. An accompanying note by Anne McCosker states the maps were used by Stan McCosker during the war years.

Two folders: 1. 9 letters, typescript and handwritten, received by Mrs Bennett from overseas institutions and friends re her donation and her book Christison of Lammermoor; and 2. accompanying notes compiled by Mrs Bennett for the slides in Series C.

Diary of a trip to Ramu River from Madang, August 1927, transcribed from rough notes on field sketch map in poor condition. Also article from Pacific Islands monthly, April 1971, and newspaper cutting on the Akmana expedition, Sydney Morning Herald, April 10, 1971. Three leaves ms., three leaves sketch maps. Cover title of folder: Expedition 'The Akmana'.

Letter gives an account of a three week trip from Marienberg to Sepik River, Nov. 1927 with Mr MacGregor. Describes country and conditions, considers it suitable for cattle industry. Accompanied by letter from Allied Geographical Section, South West Pacific Area, 1944 May 24 to Captain R. A. Beasley (sic) re maps of Wewak and Madang.

Letters concern the garden at Government House, Brisbane.
