The Atherton Grand Hotel was first opened in 1933. This file contains 8 plans for the hotel located on the corner of Vernon and Main Streets in Atherton. One plan is dated 9 October 1932. In 1936 plans for additions to the Hotel were again designed by V.M. Brown. There are three plans for these additions, dated 1936 to 1939.

2 address books, one given to her on 1 Oct 1937. 1 notebook with some writing and Russian [?] words and phrase. Album (11 x 16 cm) with autographs and drawings. Where is it? notebook with 'Mothers moral maxims for the kid' written on first page (written by Lila Mayo, Daphne's mother).

Correspondence. Includes an undated handwritten statement signed by Lenard Law, possibly writing as an amanuensis. The statement is written in the first-person and contains biographical details of an Aboriginal person confined against his/her wishes at the Cherbourg settlement.
Correspondents include Wilfred Wragge, Maidie Ross (Restricted), Arthur Cobba Simson, Doris Crawford, W. Porteus Semple (Superintendent Cherbourg Aboriginal Settlement), Leslie Wilson (Governor of Queensland), and Tom Blackman.
