Inscibed by Frances ‘Fanny’ Eliza Kingsley (nee Grenfell, 1814 – 1891), the editor, to her (and the author's) youngest son. "Grenville Arthur Kingsley. In Memory of the best of Father’s, from his loving Mother. Byfleet, December 1876." Further inscribed to Fanny Collins from Rose Kingsley in remembrance of her darling brother Grenville Arthur Kingsley". This was probably Fannie Martin Collins (9 Jun 1887 – 24 Feb 1944), a daughter of Robert Collins, Grenville Kingsley’s friend. Fannie later married De Burgh Bannatyne Bentinck Persse (1881 –1947). Fannie was 10 years old at the time of Grenville Kingsley’s death.

One folder of correspondence and 23 architectural plans relating to the renovations and alterations to the house 'Bryntirion', Wickham Tce, Spring Hill. In 1965, Dr Evan Edwards engaged architects E P and A I Trewern to renovate sections the family home, 'Bryntirion', at 287 Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill. The original house was designed by James Furnival for Edward Barton Southerden and built in 1861 with subsequent extensions. In 1882 it was sold to Richard Edwards who gave the house its Welsh name. Edwards was a partner in the drapery firm Edwards & Chapman, and a director of Telegraph newspapers for thirty years. Edwards died in 1915 and the house remained in the family, occupied by his grandchildren and used as a doctor's surgery. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 17 December 1993.

Victor and Lucy Cofman publications

The first item is a bound diary. It is a private circulation copy only of 'All the way round : travel diaries of Victor and Lucy Cofman 1948-1971' published in Sydney in 1972 by Lucy Cofman. It is 97 of a limited edition of 100 copies. It is inscribed on the title page from Lucy to Leonard and dated 1974. A handwritten note from Lucy is inserted.

The second item is a publication by Oscar Kollerstrom 'Ideas : Part 1 : stronge dimensions : Victor Cofman's new filing system' published in 1969. On the first page it has a inscription from Lucy Cofman dated 1974.

Works by John Heath-Stubbs

Two typescript plays by John Heath-Stubbs held together with (rusty) paper binders (now removed) and brown paper front and back covers which are fragile with frayed edges. Front covers have the title handwritten in pencil and 'by John Heather-Stubbs'. The plays are 'The Harrowing of Hell : a mystery in three scenes' with 15 numbered leaves; and 'Helen in Egypt : a romantic comedy in three acts' with 47 numbered leaves.
