Game [screenplay]

Shearston first conceived of 'Game' as a screenplay in the mid-1990s. He notes that “it failed to find production money”. This series includes typescripts, research material relating to the screenplay 'Game' (never produced). It is based on the last days of legendary bushranger Ben Hall.

Included in this series: autobiographical and biographical material, which includes the film Shadow sister; an address book; a diary; personal financial information; material by or relating to her sons, Denis and Vivian; notebook with rhyming words; notebooks with Aboriginal words; and unidentified material, most with Kath's' handwriting.

This subseries has drawings by the firm Scorer and Scorer prior to James Birrell purchasing the firm in 1966 after Fred Scorer died from injuries in a car crash.
