Early history of Queensland Arts Council

Original title on folder was "Early history of Qld. Arts Council (before my own involvement)". The file includes correspondence (incoming and outgoing), reports and notes of the Arts Council of Australia (Queensland Division ) prior to Gertrude Langer taking over the Presidency in early 1961 (at the suggestion of Dorothy Helmrich). The Queensland division reconstituted in late 1956/early 1957 with a Brisbane Branch and two country branches in Warwick and Gatton.

The last folder includes a list of drawings by Karl Langer, a circular on the Artlink Programme (which replaced the BLiP scheme) for 1984; minutes of the Bicentenary committee, the Planning committee; and minutes of meetings between the Arts Council of Australia (Queensland Division) and the Queensland Ballet, the Queensland Theatre Company.
