Vote 'yes' for Aborigines.

Two page leaflet supporting the Yes vote in the 1967 Referendum to amend the constitution to include Aboriginal people in the census and allow the Federal government to create laws for them. The leaflet was "authorised by Mrs. Kath Walker, Qld. Secretary, Federal Council for Advancement of Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders (FCAA) and Secretary, Qld. Council for the Advancement of Aborigines and Torres Islanders (QCAATI)."

An appeal to world opinion.

A letter addressed to U Thant, Secretary-General of the United Nations, from the Northern Territory Council for Aboriginal Rights. It addresses the issue of lesser citizenship for the "Aborigines of the Northern Territory" as enshrined in the Australian Constitution, and the effects of this treatment on the Aboriginal people. The appeal is made "under the clause of the United Nations Charter which says no people should be discriminated against because of their race or colour", and is signed by Davis Daniels, Secretary. A paragraph on the back page states: "Authorised by Mrs. K. Walker, Queensland Secretary, Federal Council for Advancement of Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders (FCCA), and Secretary, Queensland Council for the Advancement of Aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders".

From a previously unpublished interview conducted in May 1981 by Bruce Dickson on the eve of the first public exhibition of Oodgeroo Noonuccal's art at the Brisbane Community Arts Centre (now Metro Arts Centre), staged as part of NAIDOC Week. NAIDOC - or National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Week - is a tribute to indigenous Australian culture and the contribution of indigenous Australians to the nation.
Includes a floppy disk containing the transcript of the interview and two emails from Bruce Dickson.
