This poem was unfinished at the time of his death. There were a number of other holograph scraps amongst his papers. The version in Poems (1950) was compiled by Frank Francis according to his understanding of Devaney

Papers relating to radio musical comedy, "Tangles"

Lyrics, music, script and other documents. R. O'Connor, F. C. Francis & W. J. Buckley wrote the music and lyrics for the musical comedy "Tangles". W. H. Butland was the arranger. "Tangles" was first broadcast on radio, 8 Nov 1928. It was revised for the next broadcast 7 Jan 1929. It was renamed "Matrimonial tangles" and performed again 11 July 1934.
