Biographical history

F.C. Francis was involved in the production of the musical comedy "Tangles". He was also a poet and became president of The Queensland Authors and Artists’ Association in 1950. He was a friend and correspondent of poet James Devaney.

Lyrics, music, script and other documents. R. O'Connor, F. C. Francis & W. J. Buckley wrote the music and lyrics for the musical comedy "Tangles". W. H. Butland was the arranger. "Tangles" was first broadcast on radio, 8 Nov 1928. It was revised for the next broadcast 7 Jan 1929. It was renamed "Matrimonial tangles" and performed again 11 July 1934.
