History
Feilding Chippendale was an agricultural science student at the University of Queensland from 1935 to1938. His work as a horticulturalist was interrupted by the Second World War. He joined the army, gaining his Master of Agricultural Science degree while serving as the head of a malaria control unit in Papua New Guinea and Borneo.
