Immediate source of acquisition or transfer
This collection most likely began with a donation of photographs from University of Queensland (UQ) Marketing and Communication and includes images used in UQ publications. It was added to in preparation for the celebration of UQ Centenary in 2010. Some photographs were removed from other collections in the Fryer Library and added to this collection around that time; later some of those photographs were returned to their original collections. Some photographs were lent for scanning and the originals were returned to the donor.

The collection comprises 1109 photographs, 1 album (with 39 photographs), and 10 digital images relating to the University of Queensland. It also includes real photo postcards.
