History
Kenneth Gulthunud Jacobs, or Kulthangarr Kenneth Jacobs (sometimes spelt Kenneth Jacob, spelling uncertain), was thought to be born on 12 November 1944. He was an Elder of the Lardil people of Mornington Island. He was an accomplished artist and practicing songman. His partner was Julianna Roughsey, daughter of Lindsay Roughsey, and they had children together, including artist Emily Ngarnal Evans. Kenneth and Julianna were associated with the Morning Island Dance group. He contributed to the research conducted by Paul Memmott and the Aboriginal Environments Research Centre in various locations around the Gulf Country region during the 1970s. Kenneth died in 2003.
