Ian Ross White, born 9 April 1946, earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Queensland in 1973. He worked as an architect at Goodsir Baker Wilde during the 1970s. During this time, White was involved in the design of the Gympie Civic Centre (Gympie, opened in 1977) and Bethany Home for the Aged (Rockhampton, opened in 1978).
