Five index books David Trigger used to record information during field trips to various locations within the Gulf Country region, including Mt Isa, Camooweal, Burketown, Mornington Island, Robinson River, Borroloola and Doomadgee. Includes notes of conversations, often with references to tape numbers; notes on customs and individuals, using either full or partial names; and some vocabulary lists with translations. The notebooks also contain many loose pages of extra notes, both originals and photocopies, inserted throughout.
