Scope and content

41 handwritten and typed letters, 46 postcards, two poems and one card. The letters and postcards include comments on Gwen Harwood's various literary functions, friends, replies to her letters on her judging duties, and appearances at literary events. They also include information on the travels, research and careers of both John Harwood and Robin F. Haines, as well as two poems written by Robin, one of which is about Gwen, untitled. The other poem is titled 'Telephone lines'. One of the letters, handwritten in blue pen on white paper, appears to be missing a page 1; there is only a page 2 and 3. Robin often refers to John Harwood as 'JFH'.
