Administrative history
The Queensland Palaeontographical Society was formed in about 1962. One of the founding members was Dorothy Hill. The purpose of this society was to promote the publication of palaeontographical work, especially relating to Queensland. The Queensland Palaeontographical Society along with the Special Group in Palaeontology and Biostratigraphy formed the Association of Australasian Palaeontologists in 1974.
