Biographical history

Diane Mary Perkins (née Beach), born 3 October 1946, earned a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland in 1982, followed by a Master of Arts in 1994 for her Queensland history thesis titled Crime in the north-west 1925-1950. For the purposes of her study, the 'north-west' includes the Shires of Barkly Tableland, Boulia, Burke, Carpentaria, Cloncurry, Croydon, Flinders, McKinlay, Winton, and Wyangarie. Her research pays special attention to the role and behaviour of women in the north-west.
