Biographical history
Ludwig Goetz was born in Germany in 1937. He qualified as a carpenter before studying engineering and developing an international career as a structural engineer and architect. In Australia he developed hexagonal and octagonal modular buildings, which he promoted as an inexpensive and versatile solution to building needs in both the developing and developed world. His own home at Redland Bay was an example of his work.
