Biographical history
Paul Reynolds completed an undergraduate degree in History and a Masters in Political Science at the University of Auckland before moving to Australia to complete his PhD at the University of Melbourne. From 1974 to 2007 he worked in the School of Political Science and Internation Studies at the University of Queensland. His teaching and research focused on Queensland politics including parties, parliament, leaders and electoral behaviour. He has also been a political commentator. He served as the Chair and member of the Executive Board of the Australasian Study of Parliament Group (APSG), Queensland Chapter, a non-partisan body established to stimulate and encourage teaching, writing and research relating to parliamentary institutions in Australia. Reynolds retired from UQ in 2007 and has since worked as an Honorary Research Fellow at the Queensland Parliamentary Library.
