William Colin Alexander was born in Gawler, South Australia. He studied architectural engineering. In 1933 he was practicing is Brisbane as an Architect. From 1946, he was a Mining and Consulting engineer.

Vibert McKirdy Brown was born in Natal, South Africa in 1887 and died in 1957. He was living in North Queensland by 1916 where he enlisted and served in the army during World War I. From 1925 Brown advertised himself as an architect. His style was art deco and simplified classical ornamentation. He was an architect in Atherton from 1922 to 1937, in Atherton and Cairns from 1937 to 1939, and in Cairns from 1940 until his retirement in the late 1940s. Two of his buildings have been heritage listed.
