Biographical history

Politician and grazier Ellis Lawrie was born in Lorn, NSW in 1907. He was the Queensland president of the Australian Country Party from 1960 to 1964 and a Queensland senator from 1965 to 1975. Lawrie was also a well-known breeder of Devon cattle.
