Biographical history

Sarah Brooke was born in ca. 1824, the daughter of William Brooke, vintner at Westminster. In ca. 1846 she married Frederick Benjamin Carlin. The Carlins emigrated to South Australia in ca. 1849 and set up as storekeepers in Port Lincoln, South Australia. One of their daughters was Ethel Maud 'Nettie' Carlin (1868 - ?).
