Biographical history
Henriette Cornfield (nee Henriette Zerkowitz, known as Henni or Henny Zerkowitz), was born on 14 January 1892, the daughter of Bernhard Lazar Zerkowitz and Flora (nee Schlesinger). In her youth she was a prominent singer in Vienna. She married Dory (Isidor) Cornfield (ca. 1887 - 1923). Her husband was a member of a family of merchants in Medan, Indonesia (then Dutch East Indies), trading as Messrs Cornfield. Henriette Cornfield died in London on 30 August 1965. She was buried at the Central cemetery in Vienna.
