Biographical history
Victor James Hardgraves was born on 16 September 1904 to James and Alice Jane (nee Oxenford) Hardgraves. He married Jean Amalie Trundle on 5 January 1935. Hardgraves was a commercial traveller, secretary of the Dickens Fellowship, an actor and business manager. Hardgraves and Trundle launched Brisbane Amateur Theatres in February 1936 to present plays of popular appeal. Hardgraves died on 18 August 1986.
