Biographical history

Born in Christchurch, New Zealand, Bill Moloney settled in Australia in the 1930 and, became a newspaper reporter, public relations officer, columnist. He became a prolific author of radio serials, writing three thousand between 1946-50, including the I Love a Mystery series, Meet Mr Mystery and episodes of Officer Crosby episodes. He later moved to Cairns, where he managed Far Northern Theatres. His biography, Memoirs of an abominable showman, was published in 1968.
