Scale model, or maquette, of Major General Sir William Glasgow in plaster. Glasgow is in the uniform of an officer of the Light Horse holding a pair of field glasses. The finished bronze statue is about 2.5 metres high. Sir William Glasgow Memorial was listed on the Queensland Heritage Register on 13 May 2004

Physical characteristics and technical requirements
Received in poor condition and damaged. Conservation undertaken in 2010: cleaned; major breaks protected with strips of Tyvek; detached hand with binoculars, small steel rod and fragments placed in polyethylene bags; housed in custom made archival container with support of pillows (Tyvek with polystyrene beads). Very heavy.
