Administrative history

Brothers, Frederick Abraham Scorer (1907-1966) and Nelson Charlton Scorer (1908-?), formed the firm Scorer and Scorer. From 1960 Nelson Scorer was registered at a different address to the firm and in 1964 his registered address was the Department of Works. Fred Scorer had a traffic accident in 1966 and asked Birrell to oversea his practice until he recovered but he died six weeks later. Upon the death of Fred Scorer, the firm was purchased by James Birrell and the was renamed as James Birrell & Partners.

Harold Morton Cook (1901-1968) and Walter James Ernest Kerrison (1902-2000) went into partnership as Cook & Kerrison in 1939 until 1962 when the firm changed its name to Cook, Kerrison and Partners (1962 to 1978).

The City Congregational church became the Ann Street City Uniting Church from 1948 to 1981 when it closed to join the Saint Andrew's Uniting Church. In this file there are two plans by the architectural firm Cook & Kerrison for the existing premises at Ann St from March 1956, which may have been used by Scorer and Score for File 473. There are 65 plans by Scorer and Scorer for alterations and additions for the City Congregational Church at 448 Ann Street and includes: working drawings of alterations and additions, floor plans, detail of pulpit, pews, paneling.
