Material consist of the academic dress worn by Father Edward Leo Hayes when he received an honorary Master of Arts in 1967. also included is the certificate of award and a copy of speech given by the Vice-Chancellor during the award ceremony.

Double sided letter on 1 sheet, 16 cm, on 'Moorlands. Toowong' letterhead. Signed by James Mayne. Dated 22 Nov 1927. Accompanied by press cuttings about the donation of the letter to the Fryer Library by Redland Museum.
