History
The Railway Maintenance Employees' Association was established in 1912, and was registered as the Queensland Railway Maintenance Employees' Union in 1917. In 1975 it was still operating, one of the twenty three or more organisations in the network of railway unionism in Queensland, but has since been absorbed by the Rail, Tram and Bus Union.
