The Queensland Conservation Council (now Queensland Conservation) is a non-governmental organisation formed in 1969, which campaigns to protect climate, water and biodiversity.
Its objectives are to bring together all bodies and people interested in environmental conservation; to provide a unified coordinating council for the mobilisation of interested parties in overcoming conservation and allied problems; to educate the public in the principles and values of effective conservation, to encourage intelligent use of the environment; to assist government, educational and private organisations in obtaining information about the environment; to co-operate with other organisations to further these aims.
