Noel Robinson was born in Toowoomba, Queensland in 1947. Graduated form Queensland Institute of Technology with a Diploma of Architecutre and commenced in business for himself in 1972. In 1973 Robinson started Noel Robinson Architects; in 1977 the name of the firm was changed to Noel Robinson Building Environments. Robinson continued to form new partnerships and collaborations as the scale of projects increased, eventually returning to Noel Robinson Architects in 1990 until 2020 when the firm rebranded as 'Noel Robinson Signature Architects'.
