History

Cattle station between Darwin to the north and Alice Springs to the south in the Northern Territory, Australia. William James Browne (1815-1894) of Adelaide, South Australia, established the Station in 1882. Was the site of the first strike action that became the Gurindji Strike when, in June 1966, workers walked off the job. Lupgna Giari was one of the workers. Kerry Packer was a part owner of the Station from 1983 to 2009. His son, James Packer, worked as a jackaroo on the property for a year at one point.
