Jemima Miller a-Wuwarlu is a senior Yanyuwa woman. She was born in 1948 and spent her youth travelling the south west Gulf of Carpentaria in the Northern Territory with her parents. When she was a young woman, Miller worked on cattle stations with her husband and later returned to Borroloola, in the Northern Territory, to work at the school. She is attributed as the creator of, or contributor to, published books, articles, interviews, films, music and art. Miller is one of The Borroloola Songwomen and features on the 2013 album recoding Together We Are Strong - Ngambala Wiji Li-Wunungu: The People's Sessions with Shellie Morris.
