History

John Miles was born in Kent, England in 1942, and grew up in South Australia. After completing high school he travelled in Australia and overseas for 17 years working at a variety of jobs. He has been publishing stories, poems, essays and articles in a number of mediums since the early 1980s. His book Lost angry penguins: D.B. Kerr and P.G. Pfeiffer: a path to the wind was published in 2000. He has been poetry editor for The Australian Writer and The Independent Weekly (Adelaide). He has also published poetry under the name John Arthur, including his 2007 work Harvest: the love poems.
