History

Anthropologist and architect Paul Christopher Memmott was born on 7 March 1949. He received a Bachelor of Architecture with Honours (1972) and a PhD (1980) from the University of Queensland. Bruce Rigsby was one of his PhD supervisors. He is a professor at the University of Queensland. He also held the position of Director of the Aboriginal Environments Research Centre at the University of Queensland (School of Architecture and Institute for Social Science Research). This has now become the Aboriginal Environments Research Collaborative (AERC) within the School of Architecture, Design and Planning.
